Why these tools are private

Most free converters upload your file to their servers, process it there and send it back. These tools work differently: the code runs inside your browser tab, so contracts, IDs, recordings and photos stay on your computer or phone. You can check this yourself: open your browser's developer tools, switch to the Network tab and watch while you convert a file. Nothing is uploaded.

The audio transcriber is the one exception to "nothing is downloaded": the first time you use it, your browser downloads a speech-recognition model, which is then cached. Your audio is still processed on your device.
