How to rotate PDF pages
- Select the PDF.
- Click a page thumbnail to turn it 90 degrees clockwise, or use the small arrows to turn it either way.
- Use Rotate all left or Rotate all right to turn every page at once.
- Click Save rotated PDF and download it.
Why PDFs end up sideways
Scanners and phone scanning apps guess which way is up, and they often guess wrong with landscape tables, receipts or pages fed in upside down. Many PDF viewers let you rotate the view, but that isn’t saved, so the next person sees the same sideways page. This tool saves the rotation into the file.
How to use it well
- Click a thumbnail to turn that page 90° clockwise. Click again for 180° or 270°.
- Use the ↺ and ↻ buttons under a page to turn it the other way.
- Rotate all handles a document that was scanned entirely upside down or sideways.
- Rotated pages are outlined in blue, so you can review your changes before saving.
- Reset undoes all rotations.
Quality
Rotation is stored as a page setting in the PDF, so nothing is re-compressed: text stays selectable and images keep their full quality. The file size barely changes.
Private and instant
Thumbnails are drawn and the new PDF is saved in your browser; your document is never uploaded. When you’re done, you can compress, split or merge the result.
Frequently asked questions
Is the rotation permanent?
Yes. The rotation is saved in the new PDF, so it opens the right way up in every reader and on every device.
Can I rotate just one page?
Yes. Click only the pages you want to turn. Rotated pages are highlighted so you can see what will change.
Does rotating reduce quality?
No. Only the page orientation setting changes; text and images are not re-compressed.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. Thumbnails and the saved file are created in your browser.
