AVIF Newest, very efficient (if your browser supports it) Yes Smallest
HEIC iPhone photos (input only here) Yes Small

Popular conversions

  • WebP to JPG: images saved from websites are often WebP, which some apps and older software refuse to open.
  • PNG to JPG: shrink large screenshots and graphics; transparent areas turn white.
  • JPG to PNG: needed by some upload forms and editing apps. It won’t improve quality, and files get bigger.
  • HEIC to JPG: for iPhone photos; there’s also a dedicated HEIC to JPG page.
  • GIF, BMP or SVG to PNG/JPG: for apps that need a standard format. Animated GIFs keep only their first frame.

Quality slider

For JPG, WebP and AVIF, 90% is a high-quality default. Lower values make smaller files. PNG is lossless, so it has no quality setting.

Private

Conversion uses your browser’s own image engine (plus an open-source HEIC decoder for iPhone photos), so your images are never uploaded. Convert many files at once and download them as a ZIP.

Frequently asked questions

How do I convert WebP to JPG?

Select the WebP file, choose JPG under Convert to, and click Convert. Many websites save images as WebP, and this turns them into JPGs that every app accepts.

Which format should I use?

JPG for photos you want to share anywhere, PNG for screenshots, logos and images with transparency, and WebP for small, high-quality images on websites.

What happens to transparent backgrounds?

PNG and WebP keep transparency. JPG cannot store it, so transparent areas become white.

Are my images uploaded?

No. Conversion happens in your browser on your device.
